Join
Membership of our libraries is absolutely free for anyone who lives, studies or works in Angus or a neighbouring authority. We also offer temporary memberships for visitors.
It’s easy to join, just bring two forms of identification to your local library – one with your current address and one with your signature.
For anyone under 16, a parent or guardian must complete and sign the application.
If you hold a national entitlement card such as a Young Scot card or a free bus travel card, you need only bring this with you and we will get you started.
Borrow & Renew
You can borrow up to 12 items at a time. The loan period for books and audio books is 28 days. There is no charge for borrowing books and audio books, but you must have your library card with you. You can also borrow and renew through our Catalogue.
If you want a particular book that you can’t find in the library, we’ll try to get it for you. Requests for items in our libraries are free. A charge applies for inter-library loans outwith Angus.

Our CATALOGUE gives our members exclusive access to resources such as Ancestry, Britannica, SCRAN, Oxford Dictionaries, the National Library of Scotland. Our DIGITAL LIBRARY gives our library members free access to a fantastic selection of e-resources including e-books, e-audiobooks and e-magazines.
