Fisherwomen: The Heritage and Tradition of Women in the Fishing Industry | Craig Easton

Date: until Saturday 1 June 2019
Montrose Museum

Using the traditional migration of the herring fleet from Shetland to Yarmouth as a vehicle to explore the role of women in what is wrongly considered by outsiders to be predominantly a male industry. Craig Easton's photography captures these proud and tough women with a raucous sense of humour who are an essential, but mostly unseen part of the fishing industry.
