Arbroath Art Society Winter Exhibition

Date: Wednesday 8 December 2021 - Saturday 5 February 2022
Brothock Gallery, Arbroath Library

Visit the new art exhibition in the Brothock Gallery showcasing Arbroath Art Society members works.

Arbroath Art Society was founded after the Second World War, by the warden of Hospitalfield Art College, together with other prominent members of the local community. Their idea was to encourage local interest in the Arts and to encourage service men and women returning from the war to get involved in art, already knowing the positive effects of art on mental health. The Society continues to have a loyal following of local artists, who are delighted to be exhibiting work again after a break due to Covid-19 closures.

There are over 50 artworks on display, all of which are available to purchase for those looking for a unique gift, the relaxing gallery space offers an opportunity to escape the busy festive period and de-stress by browsing the artworks.

The exhibition can be viewed free during the library opening hours.
