IMPORTANT UPDATE - 1 December 2021
The country parks at Monikie, Crombie and Forfar Loch have suffered damage due to the recent storms. It is not advisable to visit the parks at this time.
We have made a safe access route for those booked into our Festive Fun Weekends at Monikie via the North Gate Entrance (the main entrance via Panmure Road isn’t accessible). If attending the Festive Weekends please keep to the safe route established avoiding forest areas and keeping to open paths and spaces.
We are continually monitoring the parks for damage and trying to make the parks as safe as possible. Many trees have fallen and there may be weakened trees and / or branches damaged in the upper canopy unseen that could fall.
Given the size of the country parks we have not been able to close/barrier all of the affected areas, please assume all forested areas are at risk of damage at this time and best to avoid visiting.
Access to Glen Doll is restricted until Monday 6 December 2021. This is to support priority works taking place to remove a blocked road and restore power. We would ask all hill walkers and other outdoor users to avoid the area to enable this essential work to take place.
