Click and Collect Services Information
Click and Collect Library Service
Library users can order a selection of books which will be curated into a Book Box to collect from your preferred library.
Collection of books is by pre-arranged appointment only and book return can be done at any time during opening hours.
*Members of the public must wear a face covering when collecting or returning books.
How it works?
You can order a Book Box, either via our online Book a Box form or by calling the library during opening hours. You can select from a range of books based on your own interests.
Library staff will then phone to arrange an allocated time slot of when you can collect the books from one of the available libraries.
A maximum of 10 books has been set to help us manage demand.
Quarantining and cleaning measures for returned books will be in place before they are reused to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
We will look to set up Click and Collect via mobile libraries and also reintroduce home delivery service. We will continue to follow advice from Scottish Government in ensuring that customers and staff are properly protected. As further services become available we will update.
Booking your Box
A Book Box is an assortment of up to 10 books selected for you by staff based on your stated interests and preferred genres. Book your box.
As staff will be limited to stock available at individual libraries customers cannot pick specific titles but are able to note areas of particular interest in the comments box on the form.
To book a Book Box you will need your library card barcode number.
If you have any technical difficulties or need help finding your library card barcode please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call your local participating library between 10-2pm Wednesday-Friday.
Collecting your Box
Once your reservation is processed, staff will contact you to arrange an appointment for collection. It is mandatory that members of the public wear a face covering when collecting or returning books.
